The Broken Heart Syndrome: What’s a Tooth Got to Do With It?

Broken-hearted tooth

They say a man falls in love through his eyes and a woman through her ears, but you can repair a broken heart through your “tooth,” says Eleanor Laser, PhD, referring to a proprietary technique she calls the broken heart tooth extraction. Laser used this technique to rescue “Sally” from a decade of misery and a destructive future.

For ten years Sally had been trapped in a state of rage, a stuck state because her husband left her for another woman and at the same time, Sally lost her job. Now she would be seeing her ex-husband and his girlfriend at their son’s graduation. Her stress was horrific, and Sally felt she wouldn’t survive. Complicating matters, she’d traveled a long way to see Dr. Laser and because of distance, couldn’t make the trip again. “Listening to Sally’s grief-stricken tale, seeing her scarlet-red face was terrifying,” Laser explains, “I thought she could have a stroke or heart attack any minute so I knew I had to do something that would help immediately.”

Dr. Laser’s concerns were well founded. Divorce, death, and any extreme stress can cause chest pain, shortness of breath, erratic heartbeat and symptoms that mimic a heart attack. The condition is called stress cardiomyopathy, otherwise known as broken heart syndrome. It comes on quickly - within a few days of an especially stressful event - and can happen to people with no prior history although there’s an increased risk during menopause and periods of depression or anxiety. According to Dr. Gregory Chapman, MD, Bottom Line Health, 5/21, broken heart syndrome typically takes three months to heal.

“I could envision this happening to Sally,” Laser says, “especially since she described herself as heartbroken.” To help Sally see things more clearly, Dr. Laser had her look in a mirror. As Sally came face-to-face with the toll her stress was taking, Laser had an idea. “Because Sally drove so far to see me, I knew she wouldn’t come back. That meant I had to help her quickly and like my name, move laser fast.”

Immediately, Laser applied her expertise with the sweet tooth extraction developed by Jordan Zaren, to a new application she calls the heart broken tooth extraction. “This,” says Laser, “allowed me to help Sally in about an hour.” Laser began by inviting Sally into a state of hypnosis, explaining that her eyes wouldn’t close until Sally’s inner mind gave permission. When Sally’s eyes shut Laser then asked which of her fingers was the “yes” finger. “In response to this question,” Laser explains, “one finger will wiggle, jerk, heat up or in some way convey involuntary - ideomotor - signals from the unconscious mind which function as an internal guide.”

With Sally’s “yes” finger so identified, Laser repeated the process for her “no” finger. Laser then asked if Sally would like to see “Dr. Smith,” the dentist who would be able to fix her broken heart tooth. Sally’s “yes” finger agreed. “That signal gives permission from the inner mind,” says Laser, “it’s what guides you. In other words, I could see I had Sally’s agreement to take her to the dentist.”

Cheerful and positive, “Dr. Smith” greeted Sally at his dental office door. After inviting her to come in and sit down, “Dr. Smith” told Sally he knew how to help. He asked her to slide her tongue around her teeth and point to the tooth making her feel so sad. Sally complied. Then Dr. Laser deepened the hypnosis and “Dr. Smith” proceeded to remove the heart broken tooth and immediately replace it with a non-heartbroken tooth. “In her mind I helped Sally see a successful graduation,” says Laser, “and this is exactly what happened.”

Without any pain or bleeding, “Dr. Smith” extracted Sally’s broken heart tooth and replaced it with a non-broken heart tooth that would help her remain cool and calm no matter what happened. Even if Sally’s ex- and his girlfriend attended the graduation, the new tooth would help Sally stay composed and get over her broken heart.

That healing was clearly evident when Sally re-alerted from hypnosis. She now talked calmly with Dr. Laser about her ex- and his girlfriend attending the graduation. “What’s more important,” Laser noted, “Sally’s face was no longer red. It was a normal color as she spoke. This was a big shift. When I handed her the mirror, Sally could see the change in herself, how she was a woman who could manage tough situations and feel good about it, all thanks to the broken heart tooth extraction which not only changes attitudes but can literally change lives.”
